The Dundas County Players presented You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, based on the Comic Strip “PEANUTS” by Charles M. Schulz, Book, Music and Lyrics by Clark Gesneron, on August 3-6, directed by Lauren Cassleman.

The DCP Youth Summer Workshop presented (Aug 12-14)
“Pump Boys and Dinettes”, presented by special arrangement with Samuel French. Book, Lyrics and Music by John Foley, Mark Hardwick, Debra Monk, Cass Morgan, John Schimmel and Jim Wann was directed by Terry Green.
Buzzz, Cabaret 2012: A series of songs and plays with a bug theme was directed by Elizabeth Barton. The Cabaret included two one-act plays: Troy Banyan’s “Crawl to be Kind” and David McGiver’s “Time Flies”.
1)Peterborough Examiner Award: “Best visual production for combined use of setting, signage, lighting & silhouette acting”
2) Helen R. McGregor Award “For representing a welcome trend in community theatre of presenting new, original work & also for writing a Hell of a good script”
Fall: Voice of the People*, & Canadian Cabar-eh –
The Voice of the People & An Unfortunate Series of Murders were taken to the One Act Festival put on annually by the Eastern Ontario Drama League, hosted by Merrickville that year and DCP won the following awards:
1)Penny Arril Adjudicator’s Award for best overall in technical & logistical to Voice of the People & An Unfortunate Series of Murders
2)Colin Mawson Award for Outstanding Contribution by a Student to Franziska Glen as Myrtle – Voice of the People
3)Nepean Little Theatre Acting Award:Leading Male or Female Role to Tony Glen as Shorty Morton – Voice of the People
4) Ottawa Little Theatre Best Production to The Voice of the People
